Fashioned from solid stone, this bridge boasts significant width and durability, accommodating heavy traffic, whether by foot or other means. Renowned as a prime vantage point, it offers the finest view of the majestic Great Tree, welcoming all to traverse its expanse at their leisure.

Within this magnificent backdrop, a fair, blonde haired lady arranged her easel in the centre of the bridge. The bridge's generous width allowed her to sit comfortably to the side, without disturbing passersby, in keeping with its well-deserved title, the Great Bridge. Nevertheless, its grandeur paled in comparison to the river below. The Great River, vast and stunning, cradled a multitude of fish species beneath its crystalline waters. However, both the bridge and the river were overshadowed by the Great Tree, the village's key protector.

The oppressive heat of Takigakure hung heavy in the air as Touwa reluctantly ventured out into the stifling day. His companion, Ruiteki, a non-living entity unaffected by the weather, seemed equally unenthusiastic about the excursion. Both of them would have much preferred the cool confines of the Tokonatsu Compound, but duty called. Touwa needed to procure some supplies and attend to various errands in the bustling marketplace. Sending the younger members of the Ajisai Branch on these tasks was an option, but he couldn't shake the memory of his own mistakes as a junior clan member. In the end, he decided to handle it personally, despite the discomfort.

Touwa crossed the Great Bridge, beads of sweat forming on his forehead as the humidity clung to him. Amidst the commotion of the marketplace, a flash of yellow hair and the sight of an easel caught his eye. He recognized the person behind the easel immediately, and a wry smile crossed his face.

"Well, if it isn't the Black Sheep of the clan, Yuika-nee," he remarked as he approached her. Although Yuika held a lower rank within the clan hierarchy than Touwa, he maintained a modicum of respect due to her seniority. It was essential to uphold appearances, especially when they were out in public where prying eyes could easily scrutinize their conduct.

It was possible that Yuika was already earning her own income and didn't receive any allowance. "Let's go," Touwa gestured toward the door, tucking the purchased items into his Jinbei.

As they stepped outside, they discovered a new stall that had been set up during their time in the shop. This one offered shaved ice, a refreshing treat. "Let's get some," Touwa suggested. He ordered two bowls, one for each of them, and found a shady spot to sit at the stall. Touwa dug into his bowl, and the sweet flavors added on top turned his tongue a faint shade of light blue. Touwa couldn't help but steal a glance at Yuika as they both indulged in the sweet, cool delight of the shaved ice, "How is it?"

Unveiling the protective cover from her art, it revealed the very canvas beneath and half finished art. Despite getting a little tired from the hangout, Yuika wasn’t going to stop her progress. She wanted to finish this art as soon as possible, and add this into one of the pages of her project.

With determination in her eyes, Yuika swiftly returned to her creative endeavours. Shielding herself from the heat under the great tree, she started to unpack the material she bought with Touwa. She didn't seem to realise, but each brushstroke she painted now were now infused with vibrant colours, reflecting her happy mood. The style was a departure from her usual artistic style, but it wasn't necessarily a bad thing, after all, who could reject being happy?
